Navitas wanted to overhaul its admissions process. The company struggled with inefficient, manual processes, causing data quality and customer experience issues. To remedy the situation, Navitas embarked on a digital transformation to streamline and scale operations and improve integrations with third-party systems, such as StudyLink, Navigate, and Salesforce. The company wanted a cost-effective, flexible, scalable solution that also provided:

UST delivered a solution to scale and streamline Navitas’ student admissions processes. The engagement followed a 3-pronged strategy for platform infrastructure, integration design, and the integration build, and used agile methodologies to ensure seamless collaboration and rapid development. The solution included:
- A scalable, secure integration platform—It uses Red Hat’s OpenShift and Fuse to seamlessly automate student admissions processes and data streams with third parties, such as universities, government agencies, and recruitment agencies.
- An API gateway—This solution component uses Red Hat 3scale to manage and optimize automated third-party integrations, for continuous process improvements.
- Automated test environments—By using templated deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines, test environments can be spun-up in hours, reducing delays in the development and testing processes.
- Framework documentation—The IT team can accelerate integration changes and deployments by documenting architecture, design, and process frameworks and integrating a production change management framework with Navitas’ deployment run sheets.
Navitas now has robust integrations and data flows with third-party vendors involved in the student admissions process. Developers can efficiently test, manage, and deploy integrations to optimize processes to keep pace with an evolving business landscape.
